About

I believe in digital experiences that aren't just pretty, but actually mean something. With over 15 years in web development and UI design, I focus on that sweet spot where clean aesthetics meet technology that simply works. My heart beats for the frontend—CSS, HTML, and JavaScript—always with a sharp eye on accessibility and the actual person using the product.

Throughout my career, I’ve sat at multiple sides of the table: from Team Lead, Scrum Master to Software Development Director. Currently, I’m sharing that experience as a lecturer at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA), teaching at the FDND program.

As a freelance developer, I use this 360-degree perspective to keep the "big picture" in sight. I’ve had the privilege of building impactful platforms like joodsmonument.nl, citiesDAO.org, aidaccess.org, sculpture-network.org, learningstone.com, and queer-amsterdam.org. I thrive in the cultural and non-commercial projects that truly matter.

My work doesn't stop at the screen. I am deeply rooted in the queer community and believe in contributing where it counts. Whether I'm volunteering at De Trut on Sundays, helping out at the Homomonument, or running my own project, the Queer Kalender, I love building spaces—both digital and physical—where people feel seen. You might even find me pouring tea at my local tea shop; for me, it’s all about connection.

I’m not the kind who just sits in a corner and churns out code. Drawing from my coaching background, I like to ask the "why" questions to get to the root of a challenge. Whether I’m guiding a team of students or collaborating with a client, I value open, "soft" communication and a partnership where everyone is an active participant.

Technology should be inclusive. Period. I’m dedicated to projects where accessibility is the foundation, not an afterthought. Helping others reach their full potential—be it students, juniors, mediors, seniors, or community members—is what drives me.

Do you have a non-commercial project or a meaningful initiative that needs a critical eye and a healthy dose of enthusiasm? Let’s make a positive impact together.
